Braman Arts is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to creating opportunities for people to explore, create, and connect through the arts.

Originally established as Braman Arts Conservatory in the Upper Delaware River region, the organization provided arts education and community programming for children, teenagers, and adults in theatre, music, dance, visual arts, writing, and multidisciplinary performance.

Today, Braman Arts is building on that history while developing new projects centered on creative expression, collaboration, storytelling, and meaningful exchange between people and communities.

At the heart of Braman Arts is a simple belief: people should be active participants in the creative process. Through sound, performance, writing, movement, visual art, and other forms of expression, we create opportunities for participants to explore their own experiences while discovering the experiences of others.

Our current primary initiative, Sound Exchange, brings this philosophy into an international setting, connecting blind and visually impaired young adults in New York City and Rome through listening, field recording, storytelling, and collaborative audio creation.

As Braman Arts moves forward, it remains rooted in the idea that has shaped its work from the beginning:

The arts can connect individual imagination with the larger life of a community.
